Burlinson Gardens – Ultimo – Outdoor shared EV Charging for Strata
Burlinson Gardens is a residential Strata Plan at Ultimo with electrification on the agenda. Electrify EV was engaged to design and install a Load Managed shared EV charging installation in the outdoor parking area, working within the constraints of the existing installation in terms of electrical capacity.
Electrify EV proposed the Schneider Pro AC chargers with floor-standing metal enclosures, offering a high degree of vandal-resistance, knock-resistance and weather-resistance. The robust chargers and metal enclosures ensure a long service life.
A custom-designed IP66 Weatherproof EV Distribution board with Load Management was installed as part of the works.
The chargers are connected to Electrify EV’s enevi Charge Point Management System which provides:
- Credit card billing for users
- Remote monitoring
- Remote support and updates
Users can start a charging session either using the QR code on the chargers and the camera on their smartphone or use a pre-registered RFID tag to tap on and off.
Electrify EV also installed protective bollards, line marking to the EV car spaces and signage – Providing the Strata Plan with a complete turn-key Design – Install – Operate solution.
The installation was part-funded by the NSW Government’s EV Ready Buildings program.
